Product Setup
The Product Setup feature allows users to mass import products and then tweak each configuration or to manually add multiple products from the one screen and then further configure them.
Field Configuration
There is a configuration you can do to set what fields you wish to populate when you create products. You can add to the list the fields you need or remove the suggested fields if you don't wish to populate those.
Saving Your Products
Once you've added all of your products and configured them as you need, you must save the records to Salesforce. This will attempt to save all records to the database at once. Products that succeeded will show that they saved 100%. Any products with errors may partially save if possible but will show what failed so you can correct any issues before trying to save again.
Best Practice
When mass importing from a CSV, don't import more than 500 products at a time to avoid performance issues.
Note: At this time Product Setup does not add products to product categories or add images to products. These need to be completed manually or via a bulk upload of the Product Product Category object and the Product Media object after the products are created.
